Biomolecular Labeling Laboratory (BL2)
NIST/IBBR
The Biomolecular Labeling Laboratory (BL2) is a joint facility of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the University of Maryland (UMD) and is located in Rockville, Maryland. The laboratory provides the infrastructure for labeling biomolecules with 2H, 13C and 15N for use in structural and biophysical studies. The BL2 is open to federal laboratories, academic researchers and private companies. The laboratory has all the equipment and reagents needed for the production, purification and characterization of labeled proteins and nucleic acids.
